TaskLock (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy.

This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the TaskLock mobile application (“the App”).

TaskLock is designed to work without collecting personal data through our own servers.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or process:

• Your name or email address
• Your Apple ID
• Your contacts, photos, or microphone data
• Your tasks, habits, events, streaks, or task history
• Your selected blocked apps, categories, or websites
• Any personal content from your device

2. Local Data Storage

Your tasks, habits, events, block settings, and related app preferences are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.

3. Apple Screen Time and Permissions

TaskLock uses Apple’s Screen Time, Family Controls, and Managed Settings APIs to:

• Let you select apps, categories, or websites to restrict
• Apply temporary restrictions while a task, habit, or event is active
• Remove restrictions when the task or event is completed or the restriction period ends
• Display the current blocking state inside the app

These permissions are used only to provide the app’s core functionality. TaskLock:

• Does not track how you use other apps
• Does not access the content of other apps
• Does not monitor personal activity outside the functionality required for app blocking
• Does not collect blocked app selections on our own servers

All restrictions are configured and controlled by the user through Apple’s system frameworks.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

TaskLock may offer optional subscriptions and other in-app purchases. Payments are processed securely by the Apple App Store. TaskLock does not have access to your full payment details. Subscription billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are managed through Apple, subject to Apple’s policies. 5. Third-Party Services

We do not operate our own backend servers for storing personal user data. TaskLock uses the following third-party services and system frameworks:

• Apple Screen Time / Family Controls / Managed Settings APIs – to manage app and website restrictions
• Apple App Store – to process subscriptions and in-app purchases
• Apple iCloud – if enabled by the user, for backup or sync through Apple’s services

6. Children's Privacy

TaskLock does not knowingly collect personal data from children through our own systems. The app is not designed to collect personal information from users of any age through a developer-operated backend. Parents and guardians are responsible for reviewing device permissions, Screen Time settings, and Apple family settings where applicable.

7. User Control

You can:

• Create, edit, or delete your tasks, habits, and events at any time
• Change or disable app restrictions through the app and Apple system permissions
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings
• Remove local app data by deleting the app from your device
• Control iCloud backup or sync through your Apple device settings

8. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
